The Vibration of Wet Ball Mill’s Gear Wheel

If the ball mill’s gear wheel is vibrating, the big gear and pinion gear cannot mesh well with each other. Furthermore, it will increase the wear speed of those parts such as coupling and bearing bush and shorten the service life of those parts. So it is important to find the reasons for the vibration. 

1.Manufacturing of Limestone Wet Ball Mill

The shape of ball mill’s transmission gear is involute tooth profile and with standard configuration. Defects caused by the manufacturing are usually the following: the deviation of eccentricity, pitch of teeth and tooth shape, which will easily make the gear pair cause other faults. Those factors are usually confirmed before leaving the factory. So it is necessary for the customers to strictly check those factors according to relevant standard.

2.Installation of wet ball mill

The contact ratio, bottom clearance, lateral clearance and modulus number of meshing gear will influence the working performance of the gears greatly. In the process of the installation, if the coaxial error between the motor’s main shaft and pinion gear axes and the parallelism error between the pinion gear and big gear’s axes overpass the allowed error range, or the tooth width of the backlash and gear tip clearance are different or their mesh ration get smaller will affect the correct mesh of the gear teeth. That will cause great impact and vibration. 

3. Lubrication of Wet Ball Mill for sale

The transmission gear pair of ball mill usually adopts manual periodic refueling. Above the mesh zone of tooth mesh zone there is an oil groove on the gear cover. At the bottom of the oil groove there is a gap for the lubrication oil. The operator shall refuel the lubrication oil periodically. The oil will drop onto the gear tooth mesh zone though the cotton yarn in the middle of the clearance.
